Here are a few fun activities and videos to share in October including a bit about Columbus/Indigenous Peoples' Day, Halloween, and maybe a little election relief.

Looking for a fun activity idea for the 31st (after all, we've all just survived conferences!)? Here are a couple of options:
Halloween Classroom Activities (click for link)
This would be fun in pairs or small groups. Give students 10 minutes or so to write their story, then have them share with the class. Be sure to have extra "treats" for the extra fun ones!
How about a couple of super cool representations of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven"? Try Bart's version, or the super cool Christoper Walken's interpretation.
